We had all but given up on smiles we could be proud of, the cost of dental care was out of reach. Ten years ago found Mexico, our smiles were forever changed. With a thyroid disease, menopause and a love of chocolate my weight was out of control. In 2013 with our daughter, I had gastric sleeve bariatric surgery. It was a huge decision, we were very nervous about the process, the surgery, travel - all of it. Exactly one year later we climbed a mountain and toasted our best decision ever.
In 10 years we've learned a lot. Just as at home there are doctors that aren't so good, not as honest as they should be. A language barrier and travel to a foreign country can be stressful, it's often difficult to find what you need and to feel confident in your decison.
As the years passed a vision took shape of not just sharing our journey but of making easier than it was for us which became"Doctors in the Sun" Our business model is very simple - we contract only the best doctors to care for our clients. We're a boutique facilitator, we're small and intend to stay that way. Our core value is "Patients First..... Always" Doctors don't "just sign up" with Doctors in the Sun. A doctor is approved as an authorized provider after careful vetting. We visit their clinics, meet staff, review licenses and qualificatons. When we say "Exceptional " we mean what we say, Doctors in the Sun providers are exceptional doctors.
